Class of 1946

Here are the results from the voting for the 3rd class of the ACBL Hall of Fame. We had 10 managers vote this year, so 8 votes were needed for election. There are two new members of the ACBL Hall of Fame who each received 9 votes.  Additionally, there were 6 players who received at least 1 vote and will remain on the ballot next year.  Without further adieu, here are the results:

2 time Cy Young Award winner, going 26-4 in both 1934 and 1937 with ERAs of 1.37 and 1.44....led league in strikeouts 4 times with a season high of 229 in 1937 and is 6th on the all-time ACBL strikeout list....fired a no-hitter in 1931....finished with 187 wins, 9th on the all-time ACBL wins list.....pitched in 3 wild card series, 9 league championship series and 5 world series, winning 3 rings with Nashua in 1932, '33, & '36

One of most accomplished post-season pitchers in ACBL history with a 10-2 post-season record.....4-time 20 game winner with career high 26 wins in 1932.....6th on all-time careers wins list and 3rd all-time in innings pitched.....had 3 seasons with ERA below 2.00.....won world series rings with Corleone in 1941 and Bellingham in 1934.....was League Championship and World Series MVP in 1934, going 3-0 in World Series with a 0.87 ERA
